The Support Services and Records Division manages the administrative operations, technology systems, and official public records for the Perry Police Department. Guided by Florida’s public records laws (Chapter 119, Florida Statutes), our team ensures that administrative requests are processed accurately, transparently, and as efficiently as possible.

Accessing Police Reports & Public Records
Public records requests can be made by individuals, insurance companies, or legal representatives. Most reports take 5 to 10 business days from the date of the incident to be reviewed, finalized, and made available for public release.
1. Offense & Incident Reports
Copies of public incident reports (such as property thefts, criminal mischief, or identity fraud) can be requested in person, via email, or by standard mail.
Redactions: To comply with state privacy laws, confidential information—such as the identities of juveniles, sensitive investigative details, and specific victim identifiers—will be systematically redacted before public release.

3. Traffic Crash Reports
In accordance with Florida law, traffic crash reports are confidential for the first 60 days following the date of the accident and can only be released to exempt parties (drivers involved, passengers, insurance adjusters, or legal counsel).
- Online Access: Crash reports can be retrieved instantly online through the state-approved digital portal. Note: third-party transaction fees apply online.
- In-Person Retrieval: You may obtain a copy at our headquarters during normal business hours. You must bring a valid government-issued photo ID and sign a sworn statement verifying your involvement.

Our administrative fees are set in strict accordance with municipal ordinances and state public records guidelines:

How do I pay a traffic citation?
Traffic citations issued by Perry Police officers are processed through the county judicial system. The police department cannot accept fine payments at our lobby.
Payments must be made directly to the Clerk of the Court within 30 calendar days from the date the citation was issued. You can pay online via the Clerk of Court portal, by mail, or in person at the county courthouse.
How do I pay a a parking Citation?
Parking Citation payments must be made directly to the City of Perry within 10 Days. You must pay in person at the Utility pay window located at City Hall, 224 S Jefferson Street, Perry, FL 32347.
